A scarce original circa 1940's period Welsh 'Caernarvonshire Special Constable police badge'; Crowned gilt title circlet inlaid with white enamel, the centre bearing white shield on blue, depicting three stylized eagles from the County Coat of Arms; the reverse with unusual maker's details 'C.W. FORFAR JEWELLERS LLANDUDNO'. Good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, gilt finish remains bright, minor enamel flaw to 'S' of Special, price reflects. Height 35mm.
