A stunning piece with a great patina! This banner would have hung outside a recruiting station for the U.S. Navy. Executed in the distinct Navy blue fabric and white lettering 'Navy Recruiting Station'. Navy recruitment stations could be found across the country. In the spring of 1941 with the 'Two-Ocean' Navy program gathering momentum, recruiting began to fall behind requirements. After which the recruiment campaign accelarated. This banner is in used yet near mint condition. Complete with original hooks and loops. Measures approx 165x100cm.
