Union Movement March 1955 Election Award badge

A rare original small chromium plated 'Union Movement 1955 Election Award badge', fretted flash and circle with light blue enamel scroll 'March 1955'. Very good condition, original single pin fitting, no damage to the enamel. Overall length 49mm. Following the wartime internment of Mosley and many of his followers, the British Union of Fascists was reformed in 1948 as the 'Union Movement'. The 1955 Election Award badge, were personally presented by Sir Oswald Mosley during the Union Movement Annual Conference to sixty four mostly London members, who were considered worthy of recognition by their service on the streets in East End and Brixton before and during the London County Council Election campaign.
