A scarce original post 1942 period 'Women's Royal Naval Service Radio Operaator / Telegraphist rank badge'; fine quality blue silk embroidered oval bearing wings crossed by lightning, the reverse with paper backing. Very good condition, evidence of having been worn. Height approx 59mm. The WRNS amalgamated into the Royal Navy in 1993.
