British Royal Air Force Irvin Flying Trousers - Nice Used Condition

British Royal Air Force Irvin Flying Trousers. In clear used condition yet with a great patina. The trousers are fitted with an Air Ministry label and are dated 1940. Fitted with full working 'DOT' zippers. The original braces are still present. There is some clear trace of wear and some damage to the leather (see photos). Introduced in the Royal Air Force in 1938, this sheepskin lined flying trousers. Refered to as Irvin trousers as designed by Leslie Irvin. Yet officially designated 'Thermally Insulated Flying Suit, Trousers' These trousers would have been worn by Bomber Command throughout the war. Executed in sheepskin leather which features a waterproof coating to the exterior. A nice used pair off Royal Air Force Irvin Flying Trousers with great patina!
