A scarce original Edwardian period small dainty size matchbox cover, finely decorated and mounted with the enamelled house flag of' the 'Royal Mail Steam Packet Company' the side impressed with Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1909 and maker's details 'JRG&S' (J.R.Gaunt & Son). Very good condition, no damage to the enamel. Size approx 42 x 30mm.
