Boy Scouts 1st pattern patrol leader hat badge REGd 539538

A scarce pair originally worn on the large felt Scout hat; white metal arrowhead with stars, worn above the seconder 'Be Prepared' scroll badge, both bearing registration numbers 'REGd 539538' a design and patent year of 1909. Very good condition, complete with original loop fittings and split pins and twisted wire thong.Height of top 45mm.Width of scroll approx 42mm.
