Description

A rare original circa 1940's period 'RAF No 21 MU' gilt brass enamel lapel badge' bearing a King George VI crown, displaying a lion standing over a bomb, with 'Fulmina Servamus' motto below. Good condition, complete with original buttonhole lapel fittings, enamel intact, service wear to gilt finish. Height approx 33mm. Built in 1939 Royal Air Force Fauld was a Royal Air Force underground munitions storage depot located in Staffordshire it was severely damaged in an explosion in 1944.
