Sentinels of Empire gentleman supporter cufflinks circa 1931

A rare original pair of cufflinks for the organisation known as the 'Blue Shirts', blue enamel gilt brass shield and matching oval, both bearing Nordic ship's with white enamel sails, the first with two part scroll and the motto 'Fear God' the other with 'Fear Naught'. Very good condition, complete with original connecting chain, no damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright. Height 16mm & 18mm.. Sentinels of Empire was founded in 1931 by Commander Oliver Stillingworth Locker-Lampson CMG, DSO, his family motto was 'Fear God Fear Nought'.
