Marylebone Rifle Club lapel badge

A rare original circa First World War period 'Mary-Le-Bone Rifle Club badge'; large gilt green enamel title surround, the voided centre depicting the early 20th century early pattern Coat of Arms for Marylebone London, with Virgin and Child at the top and a Latin motto below 'Fiat Secundum Verbum Tuum' (let it be done according to your word); the reverse impressed with maker's details 'J.R.GAUNT LONDON'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole lapel fitting, no damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright. Diameter 32mm. Marylebone Rifle Club London was formed in 1905.
