Increasingly hard to find these days, an OD shade U.S. (Airborne) Second Pattern Griswold Bag. Executed in thick padded cotton with hair felt. 34 inches long by 9 inch wide. Fitted with tallon zip and a hook to fit on the parachute harnass. The Griswold bags were designed to hold a dismantled Garand Rifle and sometimes Thompson SMG. These griswold bags were used throughout the war and in ETO such as Normandy and Market Garden. The back is IMO in nice used condition without any damage and with full working zip. And clearly marked with stock no. 8300-442650.
