National Union of Teachers Rothwell and Stanley president badge

A good original vintage 'National Union of Teachers badge'; oval bearing Latin motto 'Fac et Spera' (Do and hope), mounted by a 'Lamp of Knowledge' with 'President' scroll above and fscroll to the bottom 'Rothwell and Stanley' the applied central device depicting two figures supporting a shield with 'NTU' to the centre. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no stress marks or damage to the enamel and retaining original J.R.Gaunt & Son Ltd makers card backing. Height 36mm.
