British Transport Commission Police BTC railway helmet plate c1949 to 1952

A scarce original circa 1949 to 1952 'British Transport Commission Police helmet plate badge' in the form of a die stamped blackened brass crowned star, bearing title circlet, with an applied chromium plated 'BTC' monogram. Good condition, complete with original three loop fittings, service wear. Height 116mm. On 1 January 1949 the British Transport Commission Police (BTCP) were created.
