WW1 Exeter Special Constable police badge

A scarce original First World War period 'City Exeter Special Constable lapel badge'; blue enamel gilt title circlet, 'City of Exeter Coat of Arms' with motto 'SEMPER FIDELIS' (Ever Faithful) to centre; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Hiatt B'Ham'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, no damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright. Diameter 34mm.
