WW1 Army Service Corps William Holloway Staples 72247 silver war badge

A good original First World War period 'Silver War Badge official issue number '72247'; unmarked silver circlet inscribed 'For King And Empire Services Rendered' bearing crowned 'GRI' Imperial Cypher to voided centre. Good condition, slight damage to top left side, complete with pin fittings. Diameter 33mm. Silver War Badge 72247 was awarded to T4/085439 William Holloway Staples enlisted into the Army Service Corps on the 10th April 1915. After overseas service he was discharged with the award of this badge on the 18th August 1916.
