Kensington Infirmary Nurses League London hospital badge

A rare original circa 1892 to 1922 period 'Kensington Infirmary nurses qualification pin badge'; bronze example in the form of a dark blue enamel cross, each arm bearing the letter 'K I N L' with Fleur-de-lis light blue decoration between completing the design, strung from a brown and cream silk ribbon on bar inscribed with latin motto 'Unitate Crescimus' (We grow together); the reverse impressed with early maker's details 'Toye, 57 Theobald Rd.London.'. Very good condition, no damage to the enamel. Height approx 81mm. Kensington Infirmary (1892 - 1922). Present name: 'St Mary Abbot's Hospital'
