WW1 County of Durham VAD worker For Services Rendered medal award badge

A scarce original circa 1919 gilt and enamel medal, bearing title strap 'County of Durham V.A.D. Worker' the centre with an embossed blue shield with yellow cross and rampant lions in each quarter, from the arms of the Bishopric of Durham with the the reverse inscribed 'Presented To 1482 E.Dawson For Services Rendered During The European War 1914-1919'. Very good condition, complete with original silk ribbed ribbon and enamel suspension bar with pin fittings, no damage to the enamel. Diameter 25mm. Overall Height 65mm.
