WW1 L'Union Fait La Force Britain Belgium alliance badge

A scarce original First World War period English made badge; large circular silver plated example, the centre bearing a 'Belgium Lion' with enamel stripe in national colours, the motto surround inlaid with dark blue enamel 'L'Union fait la force' and 'Eendracht baart macht' (Unity Makes Strength); the reverse with personalized scratched messge 'TO MY DARLING LYNNE'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel. Diameter 32mm.
