National Defence Company officers OSD cap badge

A scarce original circa 1936 to 1939 period 'National Defence Company officers service dress cap badge'; die-cast bronze crowned title circlet 'GRVI' cypher to voided centre; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'J.R.Gaunt London'. Very good condition, complete with original two blade fittings. Height 39mm. The National Defence Companies of the Territorial Army were a voluntary military reserve force of the British Army for the purpose of home defence in the event of war.
