US WWII-Korean War, USN-USMC ID Tag Lot of 5, Same Name

Sold
$65.00

Description

Original era issue. Lot of 5 tags issued to William M. (Mann) Herlihy, a Navy tag has an inoculation date of 1946, the remaining four are all USMC marked, with two of them having a 1951 Tetanus inoculation date. Doing a quick look on Ancestry, we found William Mann Herlihy, in 1943, traveling as a Navy passenger aboard the USS Mattaponi (AO-41). In 1951 as a Marine Recruit, then in 1957 as a Staff Sergeant in Barstow Calif. Should be an interesting research project.
