WW1 France and Britian allied flags pin badge

A scarce original possibly First World War period English made 'France and Britian alliance pin badge' in the form of a gilt brass laurel wreath, impressed with registration numberd 'Rd 539997' a registered, design and patent date of 1909, mounted with shield, bearing highly enamelled combined French Flag and Union Jack. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no stress marks or damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright, an excellent example. Height 26mm. This style of wreath was used on various regimental brooches during the Great War.
