USAAF A-9 Summer Flying Helmet.

The A-9 Summer Flying helmet became standard issue just seventeen days after the U.S. officially entered the war. Produced with hooks to accommodate either the A-9 or A-10 oxygen mask. Helmet is in excellent condition, showing very little, if any wear, apart from a couple of stains (see photo) Chinstrap is in almost mint condition, with the shearling in excellent condition. rigger fitted with leather earcups, a pair of R-14 Receiver's are fitted, but no wiring loom. Size Large. Shearling 'ear muffs' are again in excellent condition, and male snaps have been 'rigger' fitted, and do show some signs of oxidization. Both draw strings are present , and the chinstrap buckle retains all it's finish. In all, an excellent example of an A-9 WWII period helmet. price includes postage to mainland UK only.
