Air Raid Precautions 1938 silver lady warden ARP pin badge

A good original full size silver 'Air Raid Precautions badge', designed by sculptor 'Eric Gill', made at the Royal Mint and authorised in February 1937, the reverse impressed with scarce London silver hallmarks for 1938 (C) and initals 'J.C' (Sir John Herbert McCutcheon Craig, Deputy Master and Comptroller of the Royal Mint from 1938. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings. Height approx 38mm.
