Civil Defence Corps gentleman volunteer badge post 1953

A good original Cold War period gilt and enamel gentleman volunteer lapel badge, EIIR Crowned title circlet 'Civil Defence Corps' on blue enamel ground, enclosing the 'Royal Lion of England' central device, the reverse impressed with maker's details 'J.R.Gaunt London'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, no damage to the enamel. Height 26mm. Civil Defence organisations were disbanded In 1968.
