Civil Defence Corps gentleman volunteer badge c1949 to 1953

A good original Cold War period gilt and enamel gentleman volunteer lapel badge, King George VI Crowned title circlet 'Civil Defence Corps' on blue enamel ground, enclosing the 'Royal Lion of England' central device, the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Fattorini & Sons Ld Barr St B'Ham'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, no damage to the enamel. Height 26mm.
