Civil Defence Corps Pattern No. C.D.C. 3 lapel badge & Box c1949 to 1953

A good original Cold War period gilt and enamel gentleman volunteer badge, King George VI Crowned title circlet 'Civil Defence Corps' on blue enamel ground, enclosing the 'Royal Lion of England' central device, the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Fattorini & Sons Ld Barr St B'Ham'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, no damage to the enamel and still contained in its original cardboard box of issue. Height 26mm.
