Roxburgh County Special Constable police badge Scotland

A scarce original pre -1930's period 'Roxburgh County Scottish Special Constable lapel badge'; gilt metal example bearing blue enamel four part title circlet surmounted by a Victorian style Crown, the rayed centre with embossed shield displaying a 'Unicorn' below a hunting horn between two 'Esquires' Helmets'; the reverse impressed with unusual maker's details 'Fattorini Glasgow' and official low issue number '256'. Very good condition, complete with original lapel horseshoe style fitting, enamel with few nibbles to right and lower scroll, gilt finish remains bright. Height 35mm.
