WW2 Church of Scotland Huts voluntary war workers badge

A scarce original Second World War period 'Church of Scotland Huts pin badge' possibly worn on a hat in the form of a large blue enamel gilt brass shield with white border, displaying St Andrews Cross to the centre. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no stress marks or damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright. Height 41mm. The Church of Scotland Huts and Canteens Committee provided canteens, religious services and quiet rooms for servicemen and women during the Second World War. They worked closely with the Council for Voluntary War Work 'CVWW'.
