WW2 City of Salford Air Raid Wardens Corps ARP badge

A scarce original Second World War period 'City of Salford Air Raid Wardens Corps air raid precautions pin badge'; blue enamel title circlet, the centre bearing the former 'City of Salford Coat of Arms' with shield bearing three wheatsheaves and bees on blue, the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Caxton N/Plate Co London'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel. An excellent example. Diameter 26mm.
