WW2 Auxiliary Fire Service AFS officially numbered lapel badge H.W.Miller

A good original wartime issue 1940's onwards silver plated red enamel badge, the reverse impressed with maker's details 'H.W.M' (H.W.Miller) official issue number '200619'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, no damage to the enamel. An excellent example. Height 30mm. Designed by Mr Paget of the Royal Mint and announced by the Home Office in 1938 the terms of its issue, the first being in 'Sterling Silver'.
