A scarce original Second World War pre 1941 period ambulance driver or attendant 'County Borough of Smethwick Air Raid Precautions pin badge'; very small nickel title surround surmounted by 'A.R.P' scroll with 'Casualty Service' below bearing a red enamel 'Cross Patty' to centre; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'H.W.Miller Ltd Branston St B'Ham.18'. Very good clean condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel. Height 20mm.
