Avimo Company Taunton Somerset numbered aircraft badge

A scarce original circa 1940's period 'Avimo Taunton pin badge' small gilt brass red and white roundel bearing a blue enamel stylized fighter plane spanning the sides, inscribed with the company title 'AVIMO TAUNTON'; the reverse impressed with official issue number '559'. Good condition, complete with original pin fittings, enamel with blemish to the left side. Height approx 18mm. The Avimo Taunton Company was formed in circa late 1930's to manufacture Bronzavia aircraft equipment.
