WW2 Empire Societies War Hospitality pin badge

A scarce original Second World War period 'Empire Societies War Hospitality gilt and enamel badge', the reverse impressed with maker's detail 'J.R.Gaunt London'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright. An excellent example. Height 17mm. Width 33mm. The 'Empire Societies War Hospitality Committee' was a non-political organisation, during the war they made arrangement with clubs all over the country to welcome and help officers and men from the dominions, India and the Colonies to find entertainment and hospitality when on leave.
