Essex Angling Society fishing badge by L.Simpson (London) Ltd

A scarce original vintage period membership badge for the 'Essex Angling Society'; silvered brass blue enamel shield, depicting a 'Fishing Creel' crossed rods and landing net, inscribed 'ESSEX A.S. EST 1902', the reverse impressed with early maker's details 'L.Simpson (London) Ltd'. Good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, but with wear to the original silver plating back to brass base. Size 24 x 29mm.
