A scarce original First World War period 'Manchester War Hospital Supply Workrooms 1916 gilt and enamel war workers badge'; circular medal with title surround in white, the centre bearing a fretted red rose, all suspended from a blue enamel bar inscribed 'Dover House', the reverse impressed with maker's details 'J.R.Gaunt London'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel. Diameter 24mm. Height approx 36mm.
