The Society of Sussex Downsmen supporters badge

A scarce original circa 1945 to1954 period 'The Society of Sussex Downsmen' supporters badge; silver plated circular example with black enamel title surround, the centre displaying a pair of yoked oxen ploughing a field, 'The Pride of Sussex' a round-headed rampion, slipped, above with 1923 below, the year it was founded. The reverse impressed with maker's details 'Fattorini & Sons Ld, Bradford Works Birmingham' (a pattern used between 1945 and 1954). Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole lapel fitting, No damage to the enamel, silver plated finish remains bright. An excellent axample. Diameter 30mm.
