Festival of Britain 1951 handpainted ceramic badge on display card

A scarce original souvenir badge from the 'Festival of Britain 1951 national exhibition'; large ceramic example hand painted emblem designed by 'Abram Games' which depicts the profile of Britannia's head with crested helmet on the north point of a four-pointed compass rose, in the traditional red, white and blue colours of the Union Flag. Very good condition, complete with original pin fitting (not firmly fixed) no damage to the enamel and displayed on original card inscribed 'Made in England', this in badly stained condition. Height of badge 51mm. Height of display card 89mm.
