A scarce original circa pre-1939 period 'Plymouth Motor Club membership badge'; gilt brass example bearing the long standing clubs logo, the reverse impressed with early maker's details 'Birmingham Medal Co' (a format used between 1922 to 1938). Good condition, complete with original buttonhole lapep fitting, enamel with minor service wear. Diameter 22mm. Width 36mm. 'Plymouth Motor Club' was formed in circa 1908. In 1939 the badge maker 'Birmingham Medal Co.' changed it name to 'Birmingham Medal and Badge Co'.
