A good original circa 1930's vintage period 'Royal National Lifeboat Institution fundraising appeal ashtray'; pressed metal, copper plated example, the rim with embossed 'HELP THE LIFE-BOATS!' and centre with early portrayal of a old character crewman in foulweather clothing and Sou'wester hat. Fair condition, well used, wear to copper plating and pitting. Diameter 113mm.
