A good original circa 1933 period 'John Ginger gilt and enamel promotional badge', the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Thos. Fattorini Ltd B'Ham' and in relief 'Huntley & Palmers Biscuits'. Good condition, complete with original pin fittings, some enamel to eye, stress marks to legs. Price reflects. Height 28mm. Huntley & Palmers biscuit making company was founded in 1822 and was originally situated in Reading Berkshire. The John Ginger character in Quacker style clothes, was created in 1933 and was the trademark for their Ginger Nut biscuits.
