National Fire Service NFS firemans cap badge

A very good example of an original post 1941 'National Fire Service cap badge'; die-cast chromium plated Crowned eight pointed star, with red enamel 'NFS' lettering to the centre. Very good condition, complete with two original loop fittings and complete with chromium split pin, no damage ro the enamel. Height 47mm. In 1941 the 'Auxiliary Fire Service' and the local authority fire brigades were amalgamated to become the 'National Fire Service'.
