WW1 Returned Sailors and Soldiers Imperial League of Australia badge c1920's

A scarce original large early issue circa 1920's period 'Returned Sailors and Soldiers Imperial League of Australia numbered badge'; King George V crowned large gilt shield inlaid with white enamel bearing blue title circlet, with centre portraying a sailor and a soldier with rifles at the ready in relief on gilt seeded ground, with red ribbon scroll below inscribed 'Australia'; the reverse with maker's details 'Stokes & Sons Melbourne' and impressed with official issue number '26971'. Very good condition, complete with two original horizontal loop fittings, no stress marks or damage to the enamel. An excellent example. Height 41mm. Width 30mm.
