A scarce original First World War period 'Voluntary Aid Detachment Herts badge'; gilt red enamel title surround, a 'Hart' to voided centre, the reverse impressed with maker's details 'J.R.Gaunt London'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright. Height 26mm.
