West Suffolk Special Constabulary police badge

A scarce original circa 1930's period 'West Suffolk Special Constabulary police badge'; blue enamel gilt title circlet, the centre displaying in relief a white shield bearing a Cross with five Martlets, a mythical bird from the County Coat of Arms ; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Fattorini & Sons Ltd Bradford Works Birmingham'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, no damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright, an excellent example. Diameter 27mm.
