WW1 Borough of Southend 1915 volunteer war worker badge

A scarce original First World War period 'Borough of Southend 1915 Volunteer war worker badge'; large gilt and enamel example, bearing 'VW' logo on blue enamel ground, within white title surround; the reverse impressed with unusual maker's details 'Rayleigh Studio Farringdon Avenue E.C.' and 'Reg.638252' a registration design and patent year of 1914. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, no damage to the enamel. Diameter 35mm.
