A scarce original vintage period 'Royal Naval Artificer Training Establishment gilt and enamel badge' in the form of a white enamel early pattern 'Good Luck' downward facing horseshoe (a style normally associated with the First World War); the centre mounted with Naval Crowned rope edge circlet, the centre depicting amoured arm and hammer on blue enamel ground, with title scroll below 'R.N.A.T.E'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no stress marks or damage to the enamel. Height 33mm.
