A scarce original vintage period 'Essex Federation Of Women's Institutes pin badge'; large gilt brass oval example inlaid with green translucent enamel, the centre displaying three seaxes from the Arms of Essex; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'W.O. Lewis (Badges) Ltd B'Ham.19'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright. Height 31mm.
