WW1 National Reserve Somerset home front badge plain gilt shield

A scarce original First World War period 'National Reserve Somerset lapel badge', Crowned blue enamel oval title, plain gilt shield bearing 'Wyvern' holding mace to voided centre, the reverse impressed with maker's details 'J.R.Gaunt London'. Very good condition, complete original buttonhole fitting, no stress marks or damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright. Height 39mm.
