A scarce original post First World War period '5th Battalion Essex Regiment Old Comrades Association gilt lapel badge', the centre depicting their triangular divisional formation sign, half red half black on white enamel ground within blue title surround 'Comrades 5th Bn Essex Regt'; the reverse impressed with early maker's details 'Phillips Aldershot'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, no damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright. Diameter 25mm.
