Description

A scarce original circa 1950's Fly GB With Silver City I did ! celluloid tin button promotional badge'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fitting, very slight fading to the front, with minor foxing and rust marks to reverse, colour remains bright. Diameter 32mm. 'Silver City Airways' was founded in 1946 by Air Cdre Griffith Powell. The airline was named after the mining town of Broken Hill in Australia, which was known as the 'Silver City'. It was purchased by 'British United Airways' in 1962.
